摘要	The brachiopod genus Yingtangella Bai & Ying, 1978 from the early Middle Devonian (Eifelian) of Guangxi, China, was originally assigned to the Rhynchonellida. An examination of topotype material indicates that it is a terebratulid and a junior synonym of Rhipidothyris Cooper & Williams, 1935.
